Jake Paul And Mike Tyson Trade Heated Insults In Presser – ‘Put Tyson To Sleep’
Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson held their second presser live from Arlington, Texas.

The two face off on July 20, as the fight will air on Netflix. It has been confirmed as a professional fight lasting eight rounds. The fight will consist of two-minute rounds, as they will wear 14-ounce gloves. There have been safety concerns over the age difference. Tyson will be 58 and having his first pro fight since 2005. That is when he lost to Kevin McBride.

While he has boxed since then in a 2020 exhibition against Roy Jones Jr., he faces a fresher Paul. Jake is 28, beating Andre August last December and Ryan Bourland in March. Both fighters shut down talk that the fight is scripted. Tyson claimed Jake would be fighting for his life, while Paul controversially stated ‘one of us’ has to die. When Paul entered the presser, he received a chorus of boos. Both fighters were ready for the fight, letting each other know they meant business.

Highlights

“Well, clearly they [who are saying it is scripted] don’t have a high IQ in here, but that’s a federal crime I respect Mike. But it’s time. It’s my time now. I will go down as the man who put down Mike Tyson for the last time. In due time, I will be fighting for a world championship. And I will be making you eat your own words. I hope you all keep that same energy when I knock this old man out,” Paul said

“I don’t see too many people critical about it. Look at this. “Who? Name me somebody. You? Who? I was doing this years ago, so this is nothing new to me This is new to this young boy over here. Well, just come to the fight and you’ll see. Listen, I started Jake off and I’m going to finish him,” Tyson
